
Associate Attorney
Lynette Carter is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in legislative policy, litigation, and client advocacy. As an Associate Attorney at Grace Legal Offices, Lynette is dedicated to providing compassionate, skilled representation in family and criminal law matters. Her diverse background, spanning public service and private practice, equips her to offer clients a unique blend of empathy, strategic insight, and a steadfast commitment to achieving the best outcomes.
Before joining Grace Legal Offices, Lynette honed her legal skills at Eckert Seamans, an Am Law 200 firm, where she represented businesses, municipalities, and individuals in complex commercial litigation. She also served as in-house counsel for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she advised on high-level legal issues, guided legislative committees, and ensured compliance with state and federal laws. Following her time at the PA House, Lynette practiced as a Social Security disability and personal injury attorney at Marzzacco Niven & Associates, advocating for clients at the federal administrative level.
Her career in public service began in 2013, working for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a research analyst and later for the Pennsylvania Senate as a budget analyst. She deepened her understanding of the law as a Deputy District Attorney at the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office, where she never lost a case and developed a reputation for empathy and excellence in the courtroom.
She earned her Juris Doctor degree, with a Law & Government Institute Certificate in Legislation with Honors from Widener University Commonwealth Law School while working full-time, showcasing her dedication and resilience. Lynette was a member of the Seton Hill University Division II field hockey team in her first year as an undergraduate student before transferring to Messiah University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Sociology & Anthropology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania.
Lynette is Zimbabwean American, bilingual in English and Shona, and brings a global perspective to her practice. She is excited to serve individuals and families throughout Central Pennsylvania with the same dedication and passion that have defined her career.
