Associate Attorney

A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania Allissa brings a wealth of educational and invaluable personal experience to the Grace Legal Office team of family and criminal defense lawyers, specifically the family practice.  Allissa offers Grace and her clients her ambition and a life-long passion for helping her clients obtain the resolution they need.

Allissa received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Temple University. She later received her Juris Doctor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law. Allissa has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar since 2019.

Based on two of her own personal experiences, Allissa was drawn to the practice of family law since she was a child. At the age of 9, Allissa had her first interaction with family law when she was adopted. It was a meaningful and impactful time in her life as she went through not only the emotional aspects of the adoption process but also the legal aspects. Her next interaction with family law came when she witnessed a family member go through a difficult divorce. What she remembers of that case was her relative’s regret that he did not have better legal representation during his divorce, and she witnessed first-hand how bad legal representation can massively affect one’s life.

Throughout Law School, Allissa had the privilege of working at the Temple University Legal Aid Office as a Certified Legal Intern where she was able to directly serve underprivileged clients with their legal matters free of charge under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Allissa also had the opportunity to intern at Women Against Abuse, a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding the victims of domestic violence. In addition to preparing legal documents, Allissa communicated with clients, served as a courtroom advocate for victim witnesses, and observed court proceedings in Family Court and the Domestic Violence Unit of the Criminal Justice Court.

Her legal career kicked off when she interned with the Honorable Jeffery D. Wright in the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster, where she assisted with the creation of Lancaster’s Veterans Court. Later, Allissa worked at Rocco Law in Philadelphia under attorney James A. Rocco, Esquire. As a Law Clerk she researched and drafted several appellate briefs adjudicated by the Pennsylvania Superior Court and honed her legal writing skills.

After passing the bar exam, Allissa joined the Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley in Blue Bell, PA as an associate attorney where she represented clients in Family Law and Civil Matters. She counseled clients regarding their legal options, prepared legal documents, and Allissa fiercely advocated for clients during court appearances.

Allissa has been serving clients throughout central Pennsylvania since January 2022 and has joined the Grace Team with the passion and compassion it takes to be a Grace attorney. For her clients, Allissa brings confidence and reassurance during a difficult time. More broadly, Allissa has the determination to bring justice and accountability to the people and the courts of Central Pennsylvania.

Allissa and her husband are happy pet parents of two pit bulls and one grumpy black cat. Allissa loves cooking for friends and dedicating a day every now and then to re-watching the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy.
